With so many blogs already online and more appearing every day, it’s hard differentiate your content and build credibility. In my opinion, perception around the quality of blog content has decreased significantly as the utter mass continues to grow at an astonishing rate. In other words, quantity is overtaking quality.

In order to create consistency and ensure a steady flow of blog posts for their readers, some bloggers choose to auto-post their newest del.icio.us links. I am definitely not a big fan of this technique. In fact, I think it’s lazy and reduces the overall perception of the blog.
The term “feature creep” is often used to describe a product or service overridden with features to a point where the overall offering becomes less functional. Rather than focus on a few outstanding features, a myriad of substandard features are crammed into the product, diminishing the overall value and utility. I think the same can be said for blogs — and the
abuse use of widgets.
