Twitter Loyalty

Has Twitter loyalty suffered from all the recent outages? Or does the fact that the community continues to thrive indicate that loyalty is stronger than ever? So-called Twitter competitors, such as Pownce and Jaiku, continue to grow as well, but we have yet to see a mass exodus from Twitter despite its poor service record.

Web 3.0 - The Intersection of Quality and Quantity

Web 2.0 is sexy. Making money on the Internet isn’t. The majority of web 2.0 initiatives fail to turn a profit. Their existence is dependent upon funding or passion. The true money-makers of the Internet are businesses that people don’t talk about.

Search Starts With The Algorithm

Last week, Microsoft unveiled plans to compensate search users with cash. This weak attempt to thwart Google isn’t going to work. If Microsoft truly wants to compete against Google, their strategy has to start with the search results.

In order to create consistency and ensure a steady flow of blog posts for their readers, some bloggers choose to auto-post their newest del.icio.us links. I am definitely not a big fan of this technique. In fact, I think it’s lazy and reduces the overall perception of the blog.
